Cannes is famous for it's glittering film festival, which is held every May. But don't tell Christina Aguilera who recently asked: 'So, where's the Cannes Film Festival being held this year?'
Limos pull up at the ‘Palais des festivales’ and movie stars step out to the delight of the gathered autograph hunters, some of whom will have waied patiently for days. Billion-dollar film contracts are signed in the plush hotels which line La Croisette - the main street which runs parallel to the beach. Cannes is also well-known for another film festival- the ‘porn film festival’, held at the same time as the main one, on two tiny islands, a ten-minute boat ride from the mainland. Hot Hotels : The Hotel Du Cap on the edge of Cannes, is the place where the A-list stay during the festival. The hotel now takes credit cards, as before celebs had to check in with big bags of cash!
Another favourite is the Carlton Intercontinental Johnny Depp once shared a champagne-filled bath with Kate Moss.
Hot Clubs: Baoli is a hip hangout. Drink their vodka- filled melons and rub shoulders with Robbie Williams, Bono, Usher, J-Lo and hubby Marc Anthony. If you're very unlucky, Paris Hilton might get up and sing like she did in May 2006. Also drop in to Palm Beach which during the film festival is taken over by Jean Roch's VIP Room.

Le Nou-Nou in Golfe-Juan is where the stars stop to sample fresh fish specialities. Local Johnny Depp is often spotted at the Majestic Plage restaurant, but also has been seen with his family picnic-ing on the public beach. Elton John and pals Liz Hurley and the Beckhams often head up to the Colombe D'or at nearby St. Paul de Vence, for lunch, which is also where Billy Zane and Kelly Brooke stayed when they first hooked up.
Hot Shops : Walk down 'La Croisette' which has rows of designer boutiques to satisfy the most rabid fashionistas; Dior, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, make sure you have your black Amex with you!
