ST. TROPEZ

St.Tropez was a quiet coastal fishing village until Brigitte Bardot stepped onto it's long sandy beach whilst filming ‘And God Created Woman’ in the sixties. Since then, St.Tropez is the place to party every summer, for Arab Princes, Hollywood Royalty and Showbiz news reporters and snappers. Trends may come and go, but St.Tropez will never go out of fashion. So where do the stars head for - followed by us - to decompress and let loose?

Hot Hotels : Anyone who’s anyone charters a yacht like Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs does every summer. As do Jay-Z and Beyonce, Naomi Campbell, Joan Collins. Basketball star Shaquille O’Neil had his yacht crew ban Diddy and Denzel Washington from boarding his yacht after the pair tried to drop in on a sleeping Shaq after a huge bender one night - ouch! For those who can’t stump up $100,000 a week for a yacht, try the Hotel Byblos – a favourite with Liz Hurley, Jerry Hall and Kylie Minogue.

Hot Clubs : The clubs here don't get going until well after midnight. The places to be seen are the VIP Room - where Sean Combs, Denzel Washington, Jay-Z, Beyonce have all danced the night away, with parties often closing out at 7am.

For pure decadence, try Les Caves du Roi - Jack Nicholson, Christian Slater, Rod Stewart, Kate Moss, Donatella Versace and George Clooney have all been spotted in the club famous for 'champagne fights' where you fizz up $300 bottles of champagne, spray it on each other, then lick it off. And in the tiny port is Papaguyo.

Hot restaurants: Nikki Beach is the beachfront restaurant and has a DJ spinning tunes poolside all day. The Beckhams and Paris Hilton have all dipped their well-manicured toes in the pool there. Kylie Minogue and Olivier Martinez love it too and Pamela Anderson had her wedding reception after she married Kid Rock there. Club 55 is a firm favourite with Joan Collins, Elton John, Bono, Johnny Depp and Robbie Williams - with it's own yacht to shore tender service.
